Elmerson is a character found in Tears of the Kingdom.

Popla Foothills Skyview Tower
He can be found trapped beneath the Popla Foothills Skyview Tower. You can hear his cries for help coming from the Popla Foothills North Well however it's not possible to free him from the well. He tells Link that he got trapped in the ruins and is stuck with no way out.[1][2] He tasks Link with helping by stepping on the switch found on the south side of his cell, where there is its own cave entrance.[3][4]
Head to the cave entrance on the southern side of the tower and enter the Popla Foothills Excavation Site and he will beg for you to save him.[5]. Link can step on a switch to free Elmerson and receive a Purple Rupee as a reward for saving him.[6]
Upon meeting Elmerson back at the tower, he explains that the terminal wasn't working due to humidity, so he came to do maintenance.[7] The tower will then be fixed and Link can activate it.
