Big Dodongo is an enemy found in Four Swords Adventures. It is the boss of the Realm of the Heavens, the first stage of the eighth level in the game.
Strategy
Big Dodongo appears only after Link as defeated two smaller, regular Dodongos with normal bombs.[1] Its arrival is accompanied by the appearance of four Recovery Hearts and four treasure chests that contain Level 2 Bombs.
Like regular Dodongos, the Big Dodongo has hard, impenetrable outer skin.[2] Its primary attack is to breath fire at the Links, but they can also be damaged by coming into contact with the monster. It can only be harmed by throwing the Level 2 Bombs into its vulnerable mouth when it inhales to breath fire.[3] After three bombs are placed in the Dodongo's mouth, he explodes, leaving behind a Big Green Force Gem.
