Nintendo Power Volume 16—September/October 1990 is the sixteenth issue of Nintendo Power magazine, and the first standard issue to carry direct issue numbering (styled as "Volume X") - previously, standard issues were only dated, although "Strategy Guide" issues before this carried a dual "SGxx/NPxx" numbering. Player's Pulse (pp. 6-7)

In the Player's Pulse, there are images of some of the actual letters and envelopes that have been received. There is some fan artwork on the letters, including artwork of Link on one of the envelopes. There are also pictures sent in of players dressed up in Halloween costumes. One of the pictures is of Sean DeRemer, who is dressed up as Link.
