Nintendo Power: July/August 1990 is the 14th issue of Nintendo Power magazine. Up through the end of 1990, Nintendo Power magazine volumes were released covering two-month periods of time, and they were not generally numbered in or on the magazine until Volume 16 (September/October 1990), although "Strategy Guide" issues before this carried a dual "SGxx/NPxx" numbering.

Player's Pulse (p. 7)

In the Player's Pulse Video Spotlight, Bob and Fran Hembree write in and sent a picture of their dog, which they refer to as Sleeping Princess Zelda. Bob and Fran enjoy playing through numerous games, including The Legend of Zelda. Judy Ciuffreda writes in to talk about Jonathan Ciuffreda, a 6yo NES player who has completed 16 games. He has completed The Legend of Zelda, as well as other games, including Super Mario Bros. 2, Duck Tales, Bubble Bobble, Simon's Quest, Mega Man 2, Wizards and Warriors, Metroid, Life Force, and The Three Stooges. At age 6, he has learned to read by playing through games like The Legend of Zelda, as well as The Adventure of Link.

In this volumes Top 30, The Adventure of Link stays at the number 5 spot, while The Legend of Zelda drops down to number 7, below Adventure of Link after being ahead of it in the previous volume of Nintendo Power.. Legend of Zelda comes in with 4,034, while Adventure of Link has 4,315 points. After not being in the Dealers' Picks for two consecutive rankings, The Adventure of Link is back on the list.
