The Water Medallion is received after completeing the water temple and killing Morpha. Ruto and Link will appear in the same room. Ruto then jokes around about being Link's wife and then finally awards him with the Water Medallion. Once this cutscene is complete, Navi will tell Link to go to Kakariko Village, where he will start his quest for the next Medallion, the Shadow Medallion.
