Since there is a problem with [[Valoo]] and he can't help Link right away, he asks him for a small favor to help out his son. He gives Link a letter to deliver to Komali, which he expects to help him get over his depression. The letter doesn't help Komali much, but after a while Komali does learn to look up to Link.

The Rito Chieftain is the leader of the Rito people on Dragon Roost Island in The Wind Waker. He is highly respected as the Rito leader, and none of his citizens have any reason to dislike him.

The Rito Chieftain is the father of Prince Komali, and worries deeply about his soon after he shut himself away when his grandmother died. When Link arrives on Dragon Roost Island to find Din's Pearl, he asks the Rito Chieftain for help.
