Parasitic Armored Arachnid: Gohma, or Queen Gohma is the boss of Inside the Deku Tree, the first dungeon in Ocarina of Time. The strategy to defeat the boss is revealed by one of the three Deku Scrubs just prior to the confrontation.

		Gohma It's one of the parasitic monsters inside the Deku Tree! Its eye is vulnerable when it's red!

Strategy

Being the first boss in the game, Queen Gohma is no pushover. The battle will begin with the arachnid climbing the arena pillars and latching onto the ceiling. The queen will then proceed to lay Gohma Larva. After a few seconds, Gohma will come crashing down. During this period, Link must use his Slingshot or Deku Nuts to hit Gohma's eye and stun the boss. He must then slash away at its eye with his Kokiri Sword or a Deku Stick.
