Piaffe is a character in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.

Breath of the Wild

Piaffe runs the Gerudo Canyon Stable, found at the end of the Gerudo Canyon Pass, just before entering the Gerudo Desert. He runs both the Stable and the Inn. When talking to Piaffe from outside, Link can take a horse, board a horse, or register a new horse.[1] From the inside of the stable, Link can talk to Piaffe to rent out a bed. Piaffe offers two types of beds, a regular bed for 20 rupees, and a Soft Bed for 40 rupees.[2]

Tears of the Kingdom

Piaffe can be found at the Gerudo Canyon Stable, but unfortunately, due to the conditions surrounding Gerudo Canyon, he has to close down the stable.[3] He mentions that Princess Zelda had given the order to stay away from the Gerudo Canyon Well. She had said she would be back to fix it, but she never returned. The stable needed the water from the well, as well as the mushrooms that grow inside.[4]

With the stable closed, Piaffe suggests that if Link is looking for a place to stay, he he should continue west to the Kara Kara Bazaar. While it is a bit of a hike, there is some transportation available at the desert's entrance.[5]

Piaffe, Packed Away

With the stable closed down, Piaffe has packed up much of the materials, leaving tons of Wooden Boxes within the stable. He can't just leave a mess, but doesn't know how to deal with all the stuff left at the stable.[6] This will begin the Piaffe, Packed Away quest.

Thanks to this extreme weather, almost no one rides through here. We get very few visitors of any sort." — Piaffe, Tears of the Kingdom

The sadness just gets to me sometimes..." — Piaffe, Tears of the Kingdom

It's a bit of a hike, but if you can find some transportation at the desert's entrance, you can get there in no time." — Piaffe, Tears of the Kingdom
