The Photographer is a character who only appears in the DX Version of Link's Awakening. He is mouse-like in appearance and has a passion for taking all kinds of photos around Koholint Island.
Link first meets the Photographer in the Camera Shop at Tal Tal Heights, just north of Tabahl Wasteland. If Link is alone, he will ask to take a picture of him. Depending on whether Link says yes or no, he will take either a photo of Link looking dazed or smiling. After that, he puts the photo in the Photo Album and calls it "The Travels of Link". After that, he will appear at certain points in the game and take various pictures of Link.
