If you complete the game without a single death, in the end cutscene, you will see Marin in the sky. Marin is an important character in the game Link's Awakening. She is the daughter of Tarin, and lives in Mabe Village on Koholint Island. When Link washes up on the shore, Marin finds and takes him back to her house, and takes care of him until he wakes up. She teaches you the Ballad of the Wind Fish, which is needed to complete the game. You also need her to wake the sleeping walrus, in order to gain access to Yarna Desert. Marin is said to have a sort of love interest in Link, but she never shows it.
