Golden Bugs

The Golden Bugs are a group of special items featured in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. There are twenty-four (24) of them in total, and they have been scattered across the land of Hyrule. Princess Agitha has asked Link to collect the bugs because she had invited them to her ball but they never came. She will reward Link for his help with very nice gifts. These bugs are one-of-a-kind, thus they are very rare and difficult to find. There is a male and female variat for each type of bug, equaling twelve (12) types of bug and twenty-four (24) bugs in total.

Locations

The Golden Bugs can be found in 12 different locations throughout Hyrule, with each location having a male and female bug in it. All the locations and the bugs that are found there are listed below.

Hyrule Field (Faron Province)

Rewards

The more bugs Link collects and gives to Agitha, the better the prizes he recieves. The first bug Link gives to Agitha, he will be rewarded with the Big Wallet, which can hold up to 600 Rupees. After that, each bug he gives to Agitha he will be rewarded with a Purple Rupee, which is worth 50 rupees if it is the first of a pair. If the Golden Bug Link gives to Agitha completes a pair, Link will be rewarded with an Orange Rupee, which is worth 100 rupees. Once Link has given Agitha all of the Golden Bugs, she will reward him with the Giant Wallet, which can hold up to 1000 rupees. In total, Link can recieve two wallets and 1650 rupees by collecting all 24 Golden Bugs.
