Dugby is a character in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.

Breath of the Wild

Dugby is a young Goron found swimming in the Goron Hot Springs. He tries to stay in longer than Grapp, but ends up getting too tired. If Link talks to him, he will give him a side quest called Death Mountain's Secret. Link must find a Drillshaft that he hid to complete the quest.

Tears of the Kingdom

Dugby can be found in Goron City. He initially wants to get to the end of the tracks with the mine cart to visit Gorondia, but the cart is broken.[1] He mentions that Gorondia is a legendary place where Gorons of old used to live.[2]

The Ancient City Gorondia!

Main article: The Ancient City Gorondia!

Speaking with Dugby will begin The Ancient City Gorondia! side quest. Since there are monsters around, Dugby can't walk down the tracks, but he doesn't know how to get the mine cart going.[3] If Link tells Dugby to hop in, he'll ask Link if he can first put the cart on the tracks. He specifically will only want his particular cart that is next to him, as it has a cusion on it.[4] Place the cart on the track and then speak with Dugby to get him to jump on the cart.[5]

Dugby is excited that he thinks he'll be able to reach Gorondia at the end of the tracks.[6][7][8] At this point, Link can speak with Dugby to start over, and Dugby and the cart will be removed from the track.[9][10]

To complete the quest, grab a Fan and attach it to the mine cart. Link can attach a second railcart if needed. Jump on the rail cart and activate the fan. Ride the cart to get to the other side of the tracks, reaching the YunoboCo HQ.[11] Dugby will be glad he made it that far, and now all he needs to do is look for Gorondia. As a reward, Dugby will give Link a Zonai Charge.[12] Dugby hopes to find treasure that is worth much more than that so that he can become rich.[13]
