Digdogger is a recurring Boss that has appered in The Legend of Zelda and in Oracle of Seasons. In total, Link has to fight Digdogger a total of three times; twice in The Legend of Zelda and once in Oracle of Seasons.

In the original Legend of Zelda, Digdogger appears as the Boss of the fifth dungeon in the game, Level 5. Before engaging in this fight, Link can meet up with the Old Man in a room in the dungeon. Here, the Old Man will tell Link the secret to defeating the Digdogger. He says, "DIGDOGGER HATES CERTAIN KIND OF SOUND".[1] Link can use this information by using the Recorder during the fight against Digdogger to signifigantly weaken Digdogger. After defeating him, Link is rewarded with a Heart Container and a piece of the Triforce.
