The Deeler is a spider-like enemy that is found in the forests of Zelda II: The Adventure of Link. They live in the branches of trees and descend on a silky thread to attack their prey.[1][2] There are two variations of Deeler and each varies by strength depending on whether encountered in Western Hyrule or Eastern Hyrule. Link's best option for dealing with these arachnids is side-stepping them as they descend and stabbing with a few well-timed sword slashes or meeting them in the air with an Upward Thrust.

Red Deeler

Red Deelers hang from trees and only descend to attack if Link is below them, retreating back into the trees immediately afterward.

Blue Deeler

Blue Deelers act in a similar manner to the Red Deelers. They will also let go of their thread after getting close enough to the ground and drop down to the forest floor.[3] On the ground, they will jump to attack their victims. Blue Deelers are easiest to kill as they momentarily pause on the ground between jumps.
