Dark ChuChus are enemies that appear exclusively in The Wind Waker.[1] They are one of the many variations of the ChuChu, and are easily the most difficult to defeat.
Overview
Dark ChuChus are the last variant of ChuChu Link encounters (assuming, of course, that he has found at least one Blue ChuChu). They are invulnerable to all Link's weapons, except the Mirror Shield, Skull Hammer, and Light Arrows, though they are never encountered after obtaining them. By using the Mirror Shield Link can shine light on them, turning them into stone. Then, Link can either throw them, which destroys them, or just simply smash them with the Skull Hammer. They can also be dropped on switches in order to solve certain puzzles. They are found in the Earth Temple, the Savage Labyrinth, and Ganon's Tower.
