Blaaz, Master of Fire is the Boss of the first dungeon in Phantom Hourglass, the Temple of Fire. He was created by Bellum with the sands of time to seal away Leaf, the Spirit of Power within the Temple of Fire. Blaaz bares similarities to a Wizzrobe though instead of a hood or hat, Blaaz appears to have a hat, helmet or head of what appears to be glowing embers. This appearance is also reflected in the appearance of his triplet form.

Strategy

LeftBeing the first boss in the game, defeating Blaaz is fairly straightforward. As the fight starts, Blaaz will split himself into three triplet pieces, these miniature versions of himself are completely invulnerable to all attacks, and will throw easily avoidable fireballs at you. Using your newly acquired Boomerang, unite Blaaz's three pieces in the order displayed on your upper screen (1 horn is 1st, 2 horns is 2nd, 3 horns is 3rd). When reunited, Blaaz will become susceptible to all kinds of attacks, so give him a good swing with your sword whilst dodging the falling boulders he summons as he teleports around the chamber. After a short time of being whole, Blaaz will again split into three pieces, just keep squishing them together and smashing Blaaz to cleanse the temple of him and free the Spirit of Power.
