Armourer is a character featured in Freshly-Picked Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland.

Overview

Armourer can be found in Port Town and when Tingle initially walks by, he'll duck out of the way, avoiding Tingle. Tingle will need to give him Rupees in order to get him to talk to him.[1] Tingle will need to give Armourer 15 Rupees to get him to talk and open up his shop.[2] If Tingle pays him 20 rupees or more, he'll tell the story of Dazzle Lyphos.

Armourer likes weapons, shields and armor that Link can sell to him. When Tingle gives him fireworks, he sells an Empty Jar to Tingle.

Rupees

  • 1 - 9 Rupees - Dazzle Lyphos is this town's hero. You don't know him?! There's a statue of him north of the town. To protect the town from its enemies he fought... ...and died... Truly heroic, right? He was a real man! But actually... No! I got carried away... I've said too much...
  • 10 - 19 Rupees - Dazzle Lyphos is this town's hero. You don't know him?! There's a statue of him north of the town. To protect the town from its enemies he fought... ...and died... Truly heroic, right? He was a real man! But actually... Lyphos never fought for free... He always wanted rupees... Like the bodyguards you get these days... I heard he hid the rupees he earned near the town... Legend has it a fairy must show you where his treasure is. Nonsense, of course! In fact, his statue... No, I've said enough. I'm sure you don't want to hear any more.

I heard he hid the rupees he earned near the town... Legend has it a fairy must show you where his treasure is. Nonsense, of course! The sword the statue is holding is meant to be the hero's legendary weapon, the Lyphos Sword but the fingerguard width is a little narrow and the blade's angle is a little too wide... There is also one too many lines carged into the hilt! It is clear that the person who made the statue did not do his homework! I'm sorry... I forgot not everyone finds this stuff as interesting as I do.
