We're glad that you signed up so that you can edit, build, and shape the Zelda Dungeon Wiki! Before you start editing, why don't you check out some of these useful links and read these basic rules?
- Edit your settings. Make sure you have set up your settings to make the wiki work the way you want it. We have a bunch of customizations that we have spent time creating, and we hope that you utilize them to the fullest.
- Please treat all members with respect. We don't want to have to ban someone because there is an issue between our users.
- Use wikicode and link templates when making edits to properly format pages. Use templates often to save on coding everything.
- If you have some questions, instead of sitting around doing nothing, ask our administration team. They won't bite.
- Head to our help page to find some links to helpful pages that will teach you how to do many things on the wiki.
- Read the FAQ to find the answers to a few common questions.
- Please use proper grammar and strive for good edits.
- Always sign talk pages with four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically sign the page with your username and date.
- Use talk pages to talk about edits on pages. Do not participate in editing wars (i.e. editing a page over and over again to make the page what you think it should be rather than what another member thinks) as they are counter productive and will not solve the problem. Use the talk pages like they were meant to be used.
We hope that you enjoy your time here on the Zelda Dungeon Wiki and that you will help us make lots of really good edits. Keep in mind that the administration team will be watching for quality editors to bring them on to our site staff.
Do you have any initial questions? Feel free to ask on one of our staff talk pages.
Thanks again for joining! Can't wait to see you around!

Hello Zeldazeldazelda, I have a few things I would like to inform you of:
- There's no need for a Fi template at the top of the Ghirahim page, since it is later used if you scroll down the page.
- If you don't have a game, or the ability to verify something as correct, I suggest you don't make pages for it. I am referring to the Yammo page, I cannot find that character anywhere in Breath of the Wild, so I am currently unsure on if that character is in the final version of the game. Same thing with the Kyle page you made a few days ago.
- Please take more care when editing a page, make sure you use the 'Show Preview' button at the bottom of the page before saving your edit, it saves us Patrollers a lot of time filtering through all your edits.
Thanks, BlackRayquaza98 (talk) 17:57, March 29, 2017 (UTC)
- Ok, But what 'show preview' button?! There is NOTHING called show preview. I am on the IPad version not the computer. Zeldazeldazelda (talk) 19:42, April 17, 2017 (UTC)
- That's your issue. You could try viewing the desktop version of the site on Safari, but this is less user friendly than the mobile viewer. I recommend that you edit the wiki on a computer, as it is much easier to do everything, but f you don't have access to a PC, don't worry about it. Just be sure to check what you've written before saving the page though. - BlackRayquaza98 (talk) 13:00, May 20, 2017 (UTC)
- OK, thanks.
Yammo and Kyle are not in the final retail version. Please do not add content you haven't actually verified. Kyle is not the first horse you get. There are more than one stables. Kyle is not given or sold; it is a horse caught and registered and named by a Nintendo employee playing the game. They simply gave the reviewer a save file to load so he could experience "mid-game" play instead of only "beginning of game" play.
Ultimately, if you aren't sure it's actually right from verifying it yourself in-game....don't add it. And telling other editors "this might be wrong, but don't fix it, because the game just came out 3 weeks ago" makes no sense at all. Not to mention you shouldn't have a note to other editors on the actual article itself anyway. Use the talk page for that. Thortok2000 (talk) 19:01, March 29, 2017 (UTC)
Yeah that was stupid of me. But thats when I was really new to this wiki, so.... Zeldazeldazelda (talk) 19:40, April 17, 2017 (UTC)
Adding Extra Lines
Hey, thanks for all of your contributions to the Wiki! I just want to let you know that we don't put a lot of extra lines in the pages. It really hurts the formatting of the pages. Look to other pages for examples — ~David (Talk) 16:01, March 31, 2017 (UTC)
Sorry. Zeldazeldazelda (talk) 19:41, April 17, 2017 (UTC)
I'm sorry, like I said, but I don't really understand what you mean. Zeldazeldazelda (talk) 00:28, April 19, 2017 (UTC)
please tell me? Zeldazeldazelda (talk) 22:29, April 25, 2017 (UTC)
Like this. Extra blank space makes things look bad. Thortok2000 (talk) 12:26, April 26, 2017 (UTC)
ohhhhh......... sorry! Zeldazeldazelda (talk) 00:42, May 1, 2017 (UTC)
Removing a Deletion Tag from an Article
Again, thanks for your contribution, but when a staff member adds a deletion tag to an article, you cannot remove it without discussing why the article has to remain on the wiki on its talk page. I'm talking about the Sages of the Master Sword page that you've been editing. If you think it was put there without proper reason, let them know. — ~David (Talk) 21:05, March 31, 2017 (UTC)
Again, sorry! Zeldazeldazelda (talk) 19:42, April 17, 2017 (UTC)
Deleting Templates
You are not to delete templates other users have put into articles; no matter if you like it or not. I'm speaking mainly about the deletion of the Conjecture template on the Unnamed Baby page - this is necessary since there is not official name for the character, it is simply a fan name.
If you continue to disobey the rules and fail to communicate with us, we will have no choice other than to suspend you from the wiki for a period of time. - BlackRayquaza98 (talk) 09:29, April 3, 2017 (UTC)
OK, sorry about that. I won't anymore. Zeldazeldazelda (talk) 19:39, April 17, 2017 (UTC)
Thortok2000
I responded. I want my page back. Also I'm sorry about the my page stuff. Zeldazeldazelda (talk) 19:44, April 17, 2017 (UTC)
No problem. We appreciate the contributions...but this is a team effort. We need to all be on the same page. So when someone tries to communicate with you and you don't respond, that makes it very hard to stay on the same page. Thanks again! Thortok2000 (talk) 21:10, April 17, 2017 (UTC)
Again, so sorry!!! Zeldazeldazelda (talk) 00:05, April 18, 2017 (UTC)
Hey
Um.... Please can someone tell me what a sandbox is?! Zeldazeldazelda (talk) 00:12, April 18, 2017 (UTC)
A sandbox is a place where you can play with Wiki formatting without modifying an important page on the wiki. Your sandbox is located here: User:Zeldazeldazelda/Sandbox — ~David (Talk) 00:17, April 18, 2017 (UTC)
oh... so its like you can kind of make pretend pages and test pictures and... stuff? Zeldazeldazelda (talk) 01:01, April 18, 2017 (UTC)
- Exactly. A sandbox is literally a place you can play around in and test stuff. Just go to your user page, put a /, and then whatever you want to name the page. Sandbox is an example, but you could also have multiple sandboxes by naming them different things. (Most people are able to fit everything they need on one sandbox though.) As long as they are all sub-pages of your user page, then everyone knows they aren't 'real' pages, they're just for testing or examples, etc. This allows you to try various code, for instance figure out how to put a picture in an article, etc.
- You wouldn't link to any sandbox page from the main wiki. When you're done experimenting, you would create or edit a page on the main wiki and copy over whatever code you wanted. Thortok2000 (talk) 11:49, April 18, 2017 (UTC)
AWESOME! Working on mine now. Zeldazeldazelda (talk) 19:03, April 18, 2017 (UTC)
Sandbox
I'm having trouble with my sandbox. I add info, it says success your edit was saved, I check on it my stuff isnt there. Help! Zeldazeldazelda (talk) 19:02, April 18, 2017 (UTC)
never mind i fixed it! Zeldazeldazelda (talk) 19:05, April 18, 2017 (UTC)
Um... JUST WONDERING
Hey I'm just wondering how do you become a patroller or admin? Not that I want to be one(that much!) but really I'm curious! the preceding unsigned post by Zeldazeldazelda (contribs) at 20:05, April 18, 2017 (UTC)...actually i'd like to be one. i'm NOT asking you. just saying. for if i come under consideration.
- Consistent good edits and contributions are a key trait of a patroller. You must also take lots of care in your work, be able to spot out mistakes in wiki markup, as well being adept in the english language to be able to critique and improve pages. Keep working on your edits and take pride in your work and you may come under consideration one day. - BlackRayquaza98 (talk) 19:54, April 18, 2017 (UTC)
OK. I get it now. thanks! Zeldazeldazelda (talk) 20:15, April 18, 2017 (UTC) Zeldazeldazelda (talk) 20:15, April 18, 2017 (UTC)
What's the preceding unsigned post (above) mean? Zeldazeldazelda (talk) 22:45, April 19, 2017 (UTC)
- It means you didn't sign the post, so I added the unsigned template so people can see who wrote the initial post. - BlackRayquaza98 (talk) 20:46, April 20, 2017 (UTC)
oh, thanks! but I thought it was automatically signed with your username? Zeldazeldazelda (talk) 22:30, April 25, 2017 (UTC)
- It doesn't usually. That's what the ~~~~ is for. Also, just for future reference, we begin replies on the wiki with a number of :'s to make it easier to follow the conversation. If you're the first reply, use one, if you're the second reply, use two and so on. — ~David (Talk) 03:48, April 26, 2017 (UTC)
- ok... so :? Zeldazeldazelda (talk) 22:22, April 26, 2017 (UTC) Zeldazeldazelda (talk) 22:22, April 26, 2017 (UTC)
- like this? Zeldazeldazelda (talk) 00:43, May 1, 2017 (UTC)
- I did put 7 :'s! Zeldazeldazelda (talk) 00:44, May 1, 2017 (UTC)
- Hey, it signed with my username 2 times! Zeldazeldazelda (talk) 00:44, May 1, 2017 (UTC)
Tri force heroes pages
Hi, it's me Zeldazeldazelda. I am confused as to why Tri Force Heroes pages are so short. For example on the Princess Styla page it just says 'Princess Styla is the princess of Hytopia in Tri Force Heroes' and that's all. It didn't say anything about her being cursed by a witch or anything... I'm editing them, but I just want to know why thy were made like that. Zeldazeldazelda (talk) 22:44, April 19, 2017 (UTC)
Hello!
I know I haven't been that active on this wiki for the past couple of months, but I'm back now! Hi! I'm going to be working more on the Ocarina of Time pages. {{SUBST:Color|Pink|Zeldazeldazelda}} (talk) 15:50, June 30, 2017 (UTC)
Images
Instead of taking screenshots of the images on your tablet, then uploading the screenshots, could you try and upload the image directly? It looks very unprofessional with your tablet's overlay in the uploaded image. If you can't figure out how to do this, don't worry, just let me know and I can upload better versions of these images later.
Also, it is policy that we gain the artist's permission to upload their fan-art here (i.e. the Princess Styla image you uploaded). Unless you can get permission, don't upload the image. Thanks. - BlackRayquaza98 (talk) 20:50, June 30, 2017 (UTC)
Oh, I'm sorry! I didn't know. I'll try to get a princess styla image that's not fan drawn. I think I can get images without taking screenshots. Thanks for telling me! {{SUBST:Color|Pink|Zeldazeldazelda}} (talk) 20:53, July 27, 2017 (UTC)
