Bottled Letter is an item found in Tears of the Kingdom
Tears of the Kingdom
The Bottled Letter can be found on the shore of Hateno Beach. It was written by Chumin, who is trapped inside Mapla Point Cave. The letter states that after Chumin was out fishing, he took shelter inside of a cave. After doing so, a boulder fell, trapping inside one of the rooms of the cave. He was able to get the Bottled Letter and some Brightbloom Seeds out of the cave, floating them in the water.
The Bottled Letter is part of the A Bottled Cry for Help side quest. After Link finds it, he can follow the Brightbloom Seeds that are left behind to reach the Mapla Point Cave. After finding Chumin there, Link is awarded with a Silver Rupee.

To whoever finds this letter... You gotta help me out! I was out fishing when I got caught in a storm and had to run into a nearby cave to take shelter. Just when I was starting to dry off, this big rock came down and trapped me in here. I've managed to get some brightbloom seeds through a gap and into the water as a sort of marker. If I'm lucky, the seeds will blossom and the tide will take this letter and the flowers to shore. If you're reading this, it must've worked! So, whoever you are, I got a favor to ask. Could you follow the trail of brightblooms back to this cave and get me outta here? It'd be a real help!
