Mota is a character found in Tears of the Kingdom.
Tears of the Kingdom
Mota can be found inside the Death Mountain West Tunnel where early in the game, he can be seen eating some Marbled Rock Roast. The rail tracks leading to Mota are broken, which is preventing him from being able to leave the cave. He's upset that none of his friends have bothered to help him out, saying that if he does get out, he won't be sharing any Marbled Rock Roast with them.[1]
The Abandoned Laborerer

Speaking with Mota will begin The Abandoned Laborer quest, where he asks Link to help him get out of the cave. When Link arrives, he thinks it's one of his Goron friends, but he's disappointed that it's just a Hylian. He's worried what he's going to do, as he is stranded and is eating his last Marbled Rock Roast.[2]
Mota asks Link to help get him out of here. He says it's really simple and is willing to get in the cart when Link's ready. All Link needs to do is get him in the cart and then send him flying.[3][4] He mentions that the cart itself won't budge unless it is on the tracks.[5]
Use Ultrahand to place the Mine Cart on the tracks. Then speak with Mota and he'll jump onto the cart.[6] He mentions all Link needs to do is send the cart flying, but shows no confidence in Link's ability to do so.[7] Just being Mota, there is a wall of Marbled Rock. Link can use Yunobo's ability to break the rock, revealing a large room. Grab a Rocket and attach it directly behind the cart. Activate it and Mota will be sent flying, leaping over the gap in the track.
Follow Mota out of the cave and he'll be delighted that he escaped.[8] Even while thanking Link, he still makes fun of him for being piddly. He initially offers a Marbled Rock Roast as a reward, but withdraws that, saying it's too valuable to him. Instead, he will award Link with a Large Zonai Charge that he found within the cave.[9] He complains that he can't get any marbled rock roast around here, just some weird vehicles. He is planning on speaking with President Yunobo to get his assignment changed.[10]
