Spiny Beetles are enemies that have appeared in A Link to the Past, Link's Awakening, and The Minish Cap. These beetles hide under various items in the overworld or dungeon.

Spiny Beetles are enemies that appear in several Zelda games. At first glance they appear as regular bushes, rocks, or skulls; but will lift off and attack Link when he gets close.
Link's Awakening
The Minish Cap
Spiny Beetle in The Minish Cap appear nearly identical to their previous forms in A Link to the Past and Link's Awakening. They are first encountered within the Eastern Hills and can be found hidden underneath bushes or rocks. One strike with your sword will take care of them.
