The Male Beetle is one of the 24 Golden Bugs in Twilight Princess. Its female counterpart is the Female Beetle. This bug can be traded to Agitha for a Rupee prize.
Location
The Male Beetle is located in the part of Hyrule Field north of Faron Woods. Once you enter Hyrule Field from the Faron Woods, follow the path straight northward. As the path beings gaining elevation, look to your right (Wii) or left (HD). The golden bug is on the stump of the nearby tree that is on the lower ground.
The Female Beetle is also located nearby.
