Mad Scrub

The Mad Scrub is an enemy appearing in Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. It is a relative of the Deku Scrub and seems to be a frenzied version of the regular business happy Deku Scrub. It is an almost exact look-alike from the regular Deku Scrub. The only difference is its autumn leaf difference. Its skin is also slightly greener, both of these differences signify its madness.

Behavior

The behavior of the Mad Scrub is well known for the fact that it won't back down to sell you items or tell you hints, but will instead run away from you until it gets back to its bush or dies. It also shoots three Deku Nuts instead of one. Like its relatives, it will hide from you if you get to close.

Habitats

The Mad Deku Scrubs likes to linger in forests or around swamps, this fact is found because it once lived in the Kokiri Forest where Adult Link first found them when departed there. He also found them as a Child in the Sacred Forest Meadow. In Majora's Mask, he found them around Woodfall.
