The Lowder is a enemy that appears in Zelda II: The Adventure of Link.
Appearances
The Lowder is a beetle with a hard shell that can be found in deserts and caves in Hyrule. These bug crawl slowly across the floor in search of any food, but it will charge with high speed when it detects Link. Because they prefer dark places, they are extremely difficult to see.
They are very small, and Link must crouch or use the Downward Thrust in order to kill them. Link gains 3 experience points for defeating the Lowder.
Non-canonical appearances
The Lowder also appears as the enemy in the The Legend of Zelda Animated Series, Link: The Faces of Evil, and Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon.
