The Longsword is a weapon in Cadence of Hyrule. Only Link can wield it.
The Longsword acts much like the Spear, except Link cannot use his shield with it equipped. Holding the shield button makes Link hold the sword out in the direction he's facing. Turning in this state swings the sword, damaging enemies in the way. Once the player gains access to Hyrule Castle, Link can get Caladbolg, a shimmering longsword that does three points of damage (less if holding the shield button).
The Longsword can be infused with various materials to make it stronger.
