Kima

Kima is a character from Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.

Breath of the Wild

Kima can be found at the Southern Mine, just south of Goron City. Kima is traveling back from Goron City and he has stopped at the Southern Mine. He talks about the pure heat that is all over Death Mountain and he is amazed how the Gorons here can tolerate it. Not only that, he's surprised that they can also heat hot food on top of that.

Fireproof Lizard Roundup

Main article: Fireproof Lizard Roundup

When first speaking with Kima, he mentions that he had left Goron City without purchasing any souvenirs. He wanted to capture some Fireproof Lizards, but couldn't do so himself, as they are too quick. He asks Link to capture 10 of them for him and in return, he'll give him some heat-resistant armor. This will begin the Fireproof Lizard Roundup quest.[1] He mentions that Link can probably find enough of them right here in the Southern Mine.[2]

In order to capture Fireproof Lizards, Link will need to use some stealth abilities. Crouching down and walking slowly helps, as it won't scare away the lizards. Alternatively, if Link has the Stealth Set of armor, this will make it easier for him to get close. There are more than 10 lizards in the Southern Mine, but just be careful not to scare too many of them away. After catching 10 of them, speak with Kima. As a reward, he will give Link the Flamebreaker Armor.[3][4]

After completing the quest, at any point Link can speak with Kima to give him more Fireproof Lizards. He will purchase three of them for 20 rupees.[5] He also suggests to Link that if Fireproof Lizards are mixed with some Monsters Parts, it can create a Fireproof Elixir.[6][7]

Tears of the Kingdom

Kima can be found in the rocks slightly higher than Goron City proper. He is looking for the Simmerstone Springs, a secret hot spring said to be near Goron City. He plans on talking to some hot-spring buffs at the not-secret hot springs to see if they know where it is. This begins the Simmerstone Springs Side Quest.
