Japas is a character featured in Majora's Mask. He is the guitarist player in the famous Zora band The Indigo-Go's.
Japas and his fellow band-partner Mikau sometimes compose songs together, but sometimes without their band-partner Evan, so he is jealous whenever they jam together without him knowing about it. Japas and Mikau eventually discover a tune that the Zoras become interested in. While Japas and Mikau play the song inside Japas' room, the Zoras congregate and listen to them by the door. From then on, the Zoras expect a very great performance by them. After Japas and Mikau creates the song, Japas is uncertain of how Evan will react, so he decides to let Mikau play the song for Evan. However, Link must be himself in order to not let Evan become jealous and upset by them. Evan will then like the song and claim to have created it himself before rewarding Link with a Piece of Heart.

- When Link meets Japas in his room, he'll be playing the tune to the dungeon theme from the original The Legend of Zelda.
