Treasure Octoroks are enemies which exclusively appear Breath of the Wild. They have 8 HP, and disguise themselves as a buried chest, only to pop up and ambush Link when he nears.

One simple way to distinguish a regular buried chest and a Treasure Octorok is by using the Magnesis Rune. If the buried chest cannot be moved with the rune, a Treasure Octorok will be hiding.
