Spiked Thwomps are yet another cameo enemy from the Super Mario Bros games that make appearance in Link's Awakening. They also appear in both Oracle games.

Appearances

Link's Awakening

Spiked Thwomps can be found in the side-scrolling areas of Angler's Tunnel and Catfish's Maw. These big slabs of stone are one of the enemies that can't be destroyed. They stay motionless at the top of the screen, waiting for Link to walk underneath them.

Spiked Thwomps attack in the same way as the Thwimps, but their attack are hard to avoid because they are bigger. If Link is too slow, the Thwomp will slam down on him as he walk underneath it. Link need to equip his Pegasus Boots and make a quick dash to the other side to avoid getting hurt.

Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages

Spiked Thwomps act the same as they did in Link's Awakening, but they are blue in color. In Oracle of Seasons, they can be found in the Wing Dungeon. While in Oracle of Ages, they resides in the Snake's Remains.
