===Ocarina of Time===
In ''Ocarina of Time'', Phantom Ganon is the boss of the first adult temple, the [[Forest Temple (Ocarina of Time)|Forest Temple]]. Link must use the [[Fairy Bow]] to hit Phantom Ganon as he is coming out of one of six paintings around the area. Phantom Ganon also sends a clone through one of the paintings to throw Link off. Find the one that turns purple, and fire. If the real phantom is left unscathed, he fires a torrent of lightning through the platform, which can cause serious damage if it hits. Easily avoid these attacks by standing as close as possible to the gate that rose after entering this arena, as the lightning does not cover its entirety. After three shots from the bow, Phantom Ganon leaves the paintings to attack Link. Link must deflect his magic shots back back and forth between the two of them with the sword until Phantom Ganon misses. Slash him when he is on the ground, and soon enough he is defeated. After the battle, Ganondorf tells Link that what he fought was merely a phantom and how it was such a waste. Ganondorf then banishes the phantom to the gap between dimensions.{{Ref|OoT|895|Ganondorf}}
