Note on the Table (Popla Foothills South Well)

Note on the Table is an object from Tears of the Kingdom.

Tears of the Kingdom

The note is one of the many Notes on the Table found throughout Hyrule. It is located on a table within the Popla Foothills South Well, found just south of the Popla Foothills Skyview Tower.

Written by Chef Aurie Taamu, the note teaches Link about the newly discovered bright materials. She is referring to the Brightcaps, Brightbloom Seeds, and Glowing Cave Fish. She mentions how when cooked, some of the ingredients give off a varying degree of light, thinking that this is dependent on how rare the actual ingredient is to find.

The road of a gourmand is fraught with thorns. It's why I choose to trael alone.

But this life does have its share of lonely nights. That's when you need to shine a light to keep the darkness at bay.

These newly discovered "bright" ingredients have the strange effect of making the body glow.

I recently discovered that the intensity of the light changes depending on the materials you use.

For instance, when I ate a dish cooked with a glowing cave fish, I produced more light than I did after my brightcap dish.

I wonder if the effect is more powerful the harder the ingredient is to collect...

Or could the quantity of each material play a part somehow? I clearly have more experimenting to do.

There is no shame in not knowing, for beyond that lies the joy of knowing.
