Door Repair from The Legend of Zelda.

The Door Repair charge must be paid by Link after discovering certain Old Man locations in the original The Legend of Zelda. Similar Door Repair secrets can be found in Ancient Stone Tablets and both Oracle of Seasons & Oracle of Ages.

The Legend of Zelda

Main article: The Legend of Zelda Door Repairs

In The Legend of Zelda, Link will have to pay the Old Man 20 rupees each time he discovers one of these Door Repair Locations. The locations are not in plain sight and Link will first need to blow open an entrance using a Bomb.

Door Repairs in BS The Legend of Zelda work identically to the original game, acting as a 20 rupee penalty.

Oracle of Seasons & Oracle of Ages

In Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages, Link will burn down bushes using Ember Seeds to find these Old Man Locations. Unlike The Legend of Zelda, Link will only need to pay the door repair charge if he speaks with the Old Man[1][2]. These charges are also more expensive, costing 50 Rupees or more.
