It’s that time again! The annual tradition continues! Zelda Dungeon’s Best Zelda Ever ranking is back… already? A mere three months after our 2024 ranking, the Zelda Dungeon team has gathered together to once again rank the Legend of Zelda series from worst to best. We just couldn’t wait! But this year, things are looking a little… different. I’ve seen a few of these games in the ranking in past years, but so many have never been seen in a Best Zelda Ever…

Alasyn is joined this week by The Zelda Cast producer Cal, and ZD YouTube extraordinaire Corey Richmond, and we decided that it was time to bring “Guess That Zelda Location” back from the grave!  A spin-off on the classic “Guess That Zelda Character”, this is Al’s favorite game to play whenever Andy is away. So join in on the fun as we try to guess each other’s Zelda locations in 16 questions or less! Download! Support The Zelda Cast on…

When our Best Zelda Ever (BZE) list started in 2017, there were 18 games ranked by the staff. As of the 2023 Edition of BZE, the list had grown to 23 games thanks to new releases over the years – Cadence of Hyrule (2019), Age of Calamity (released in late 2020 and first appearing on the BZE list in 2021), and Tears of the Kingdom (2023). However, two games that were added to the 2019 BZE list weren’t new by…

It’s that time again! The annual tradition continues! Zelda Dungeon’s Best Zelda Ever ranking is back! Every year, the fantastic folks at ZD come together to rank every single Zelda title from worst to best. The task is arduous, and it isn’t always controversy-free, but the results are without exception something the team is truly proud of. This is the feature we look forward to all year long. The thing that makes Best Zelda Ever so special is how many different…

Better late than ever, right? Welcome to… Fall Brawl! Zelda Dungeon’s Fall Brawl Character Contest is back again for a sixth year… but this time, things are a little different. We know what you’re thinking: How are we supposed to celebrate “Fall” Brawl when autumn was over weeks ago. Well, I’d first like to point out that, according to the astrological calendar, autumn ends between December 20th and December 23rd, which means we’re very, very technically announcing this year’s tournament…

Since Echoes of Wisdom has shattered the convention of Link as the solo protagonist in all mainline Zelda games, it offers up an opportunity for speculation on the future of the franchise in a variety of ways. While the distance of reasonability between playing as Link and playing as Zelda is relatively short, the potential third player-character in the series is up for serious debate. Recently, we discussed the potential of having a game where you play as Ganon. Games like the Hyrule…

Multiplayer Zelda games are regularly ranked in the bottom third of our Best Zelda Ever lists, with last year’s ranking being no exception. It’s maybe no coincidence, either, that roughly a third of the voters haven’t even had the opportunity (or desire) to play the two bottom-ranked games, Four Swords and Tri Force Heroes, which are both multiplayer. Nowadays, these multiplayer games are increasingly hard to play in their original formats; but even in considering the games in their heydays, I don’t think I’m…

It’s here! It’s finally here! With another calendar year quickly coming to a close, it is time once again for us to present Zelda Dungeon’s proudest tradition: Best Zelda Ever! At the end of every year, the amazing team here at ZD comes together to rank every single Zelda title from worst to best. The task is never easy, but this year’s ranking proved particularly challenging due to some major shakeups. Not only did we, as we always do, see new…

With the announcement of the Sora amiibo in the most recent Nintendo Direct, almost all Super Smash Bros. Ultimate characters have now been realized in amiibo form.  While Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf do have Smash Bros. series amiibo, they are only for Super Smash Bros. 4, and not their appearances in Ultimate. For those who don’t know, the previous game in the Super Smash Bros. series saw Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf as they appeared in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess….

Zelda Dungeon is back with a new entry in the “Definitive Ranking” series where host Mases and Gooey continue their quest to analyze each game in the Zelda series and rank them based on ten different categories. In this episode, the duo take a deep dive into one of the most interesting spin-off games in the Zelda series: Hyrule Warriors. Developed by Koei Tecmo (Omega Force and Team Ninja), Hyrule Warriors was first released in August and September 2014 on the Wii-U….
