The Triforce of courage is one of the three pieces of the Triforce in the Zelda series. It embodies the power of Farore, one of the goddesses that created Hyrule. Farore created the creatures to uphold the law created by Nayru, another Goddess who helped create Hyrule.
Unilke the other pieces of the triforce, the triforce of courage did not at first exist. It was introduced in Zelda II: The Adventure of Link.
