The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D Official Soundtrack was released on June 16th, 2011, corresponding with the release of Ocarina of Time 3D. The CD was announced as part of Nintendo's E3 2011 conference, where the CD would be included as a giveaway for the The Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary. Fans who purchased Ocarina of Time 3D needed to register their copy on Club Nintendo and received the soundtrack. This offer was available for a limited time only.

The CD contains 51 tracks from the game, 50 of which are the same from the original release of Ocarina of Time. The 51st track is the one bonus track that was composed specifically for the re-release of the game. With 51 tracks on the album there were more than the previously released The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Nintendo Power Soundtrack that released in the United States back in 1998. However, the most complete soundtrack of the game is still the Ocarina of Time Original Soundtrack that released in Japan, totaling 82 tracks.
