Steem is the Lokomo of the Snow Realm in Spirit Tracks. He resides in the Snow Sanctuary and awaits Link's arrival. Once their duet commences and the Lokomo Song is played, a path to the Snow Temple is revealed and restores the missing Spirit Tracks. Steem plays the Pipa while Link plays his Spirit Flute.
