"'The Whirling Blade technique has been handed down from gener- ation to gener- ation by the family of the hero. To use it, hold down the Sword Button and build up your power. When you have enough, you can release the Button! Can you master this?'"
Secrets Of The Whirling Blade is a book found within the Mabe Village Library in Link's Awakening. Like the seven other books found within the Library, this book gives Link some information about the game. In particular the Secrets Of The Whirling Blade book is a book that tells Link how to properly use the Spin Attack. In order to perform the attack, Link must hold down the sword button until his sword powers up, and then release it to do the spin attack.
