The Picori Festival occurs at the start of The Minish Cap. The festival occurs annually in honor of the tiny Picori who were rumored to aid the Hero of Men bring balance to the world previously. During the festival, Vaati wins the sword contest and opens the prize chest unleashing a torrent of monsters on the world.
