The skull can be deflected using the [[Whirlwind]], which sends it back at the Mothula. Using the Whirlwind at them when they are not attacking causes them to simply deflect it back at Link. Their second attack is when Link is stunned by the Whirlwind they dive towards him, dealing damage.
