Magnetic Balls[1], also referred to as N Balls[2] or Iron Balls[3], are objects found in Oracle of Seasons.

Overview

Magnetic Balls first appear in Unicorn's Cave where they can be interacted with, using the Magnetic Gloves. The 'N' is in reference to North, which is the polarity they give off. If the Magnetic gloves have an 'N' polarity, they will repel the Magnetic Ball, pushing it away from Link. If the Magnetic Gloves have an 'S' polarity, they will attract the Magnetic Ball.

The Magnetic Balls are primarily used as weighted objects to press down switches, usually opening nearby doors. They can also be used as weapons, defeating a variety of enemies. The balls can also be used for defense, as they can be positioned in between Link and various obstacles, such as flames that are shooting out towards Link. The Magnetic Ball will block the flames.

After appearing in Unicorn's Cave, Magnetic Balls can be found in each subsequent dungeon, including the Ancient Ruins, Explorer's Crypt, and Sword & Shield Maze.
