The Light Medallion is the first Medallion that Link receives in Ocarina of Time. He receives it from the sage of the Temple of Time, Rauru. Link gets this Medallion after he has completed getting the three Spiritual Stones. When Link first grabs the Master Sword the first person he comes in contact with is the first sage and that's when he gets the first medallion. After this, he proceeds to start the rest of his journey.
