The Iron Boots are a very heavy type of footwear. Link can wear these boots to do various things, especially when sinking into water.

After traversing through the Ice Cavern, Link will walk into a room with a single Treasure Chest. This chest contains the Iron Boots. Afterwards, Sheik will appear and begin to teach him the Serenade of Water.
