Goombas are popular enemy from Super Mario Bros games that made cameo appearances in Link's Awakening. Goombas are mushroom-shaped enemies that walk side to side in the underground passages or dungeons. Any weapon will defeat a goomba in one hit. They can only deal half a heart of damage by contact, so goombas are very weak enemies.
They're also great to kill if you're low on hearts. Equip your Roc's Feather and jump on top of a goomba to defeat it and you'll get a recovery heart. If you don't have the roc's feather yet, you can drop off the side of a higher platform onto the goomba.
