In ''Ocarina of Time'', Link finds Freezards exclusively within the [[Ice Cavern]]. Link can either use his [[Sword]] to kill them or to simply evade them entirely. They appear as large pieces of ice that blow an icy breath. In ''Twilight Princess'', Freezards appear mostly in the [[Snowpeak Ruins]]; however, they can also be found in a few of the small caves around throughout [[Hyrule]], which includes the [[Cave of Ordeals]]. Freezards in ''Twilight Princess'' are much larger than their ''Ocarina of Time'' and ''Majora's Mask'' counterparts.

This time around the Freezard is no longer vulnerable to Link's sword and instead, he will need to use the [[Ball and Chain]] to defeat them. It will take two direct hits with the Ball and Chain to defeat the enemy. After a Freezard has been defeated, it splits into four to five [[Mini-Freezard]]s. Alternatively, Link can kill a Freezard by utilizing the multiple [[Cannon]]s that can be found in the Snowpeak Ruins. Freezards act more like an obstacle rather than an enemy as most of the time, they are stationary and are used to block doorways.

===Spirit Tracks===

While larger Freezard do not make an appearance in ''[[The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks|Spirit Tracks]]'' there are similar ''Mini-Freezard'' that appear as they did in ''Twilight Princess''.

* In ''[[The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time|Ocarina of Time]]'', "[[Freezard]]" is misspelled as "Freezzard".

* After a [[Freezard]] from ''[[The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess|Twilight Princess]]'' has been defeated, it transforms into a number of smaller versions of itself called [[Mini-Freezard]]s.
