The Captain's Hat is a mask from Majora's Mask. When Link sets forth to Ikana Graveyard, he can find Captain Keeta resting. In order to awaken him, Link has to play the Sonata of Awakening, which will allow Captain Keeta to awaken and challenge Link to a battle. In order to win the battle, Link has to make it to the end of the trail. When Link has completed the challenge, Captain Keeta will reward Link with the Captain's Hat. With the mask in hand, Link can be mistaken for Captain Keeta by the Stalchildren, which allows Link to talk to them.
