A Bombfish is a fish that is found swimming underwater. It usually will confront Link, and attempt to ram into him. When it starts swimming towards you, hold up your shield and let it hit. It will light up and explode within a few seconds, killing itself. An alternative to letting it touch you is setting it off with a slash of your sword. Bombfish aren't very deadly enemies, but they're useful to blow up rocks underwater that are in Link's way.
