Ganon is a character that has very similar appearances in both The Faces of Evil and The Wand of Gamelon.
The Wand of Gamelon
In Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon, Ganon has attacked the faraway land of Gamelon. The ruler of Gamelon, Duke Onkled sent word to King Harkinian. The King, and later Link, both traveled to Gamelon in an attempt to defeat Ganon. They were both captured, which prompted Zelda to travel there herself, to rescue them, and save the land of Gamelon from Ganon and his servants.
Zelda will confront Ganon at Reesong Palace where she will use the Fairy Lantern to expose Ganon to the light. Zelda can then use the Wand of Gamelon, binding him in chains and reseal him into what appears to be the Book of Koridai.
