Rupee Wraiths are enemies that appear in Four Swords, and mysteriously appear from random Treasure Chests. They attack by clinging onto Link and making him drop his Rupees. Rupee Wraiths are only useful when Link has a Rupee Fever, so Link can double his rupees.
