- 16th - The Adventure of Link was added to the Nintendo Switch Online - Nintendo Entertainment System app on Nintendo Switch for NSO subscribers.
February
- 13th - A Nintendo Direct was broadcast which announced a remake of Link's Awakening for Nintendo Switch.
June
- 11th - A short teaser trailer including Link, a short-haired Zelda and what appeared to be Ganondorf's corpse was broadcast as part of a Nintendo Direct, announcing that an unnamed sequel to Breath of the Wild had begun development. No date or further details were given.
