Faron Woods: Difference between revisions

The '''Faron Woods''' is a wooded location in both ''[[The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess|Twilight Princess]]'' and ''[[The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword|Skyward Sword]]''.

In ''Twilight Princess'', Faron Woods is located just to the north of the [[Ordona Province]] and is linked by a bridge that leads the [[Faron Province]] into the Ordona Province. It is looked over by the guardian [[Light Spirit]], [[Faron (Light Spirit)|Faron]] who resembles a lemur or a monkey. The first [[Dungeon]] of the game, the [[Forest Temple (Twilight Princess)|Forest Temple]], is located at the deepest part of the Faron Woods. This area is mainly woodland as the name suggests. Common enemies that can be found in this area include; [[Bokoblin]]s, [[Deku Baba]]s and [[Keese]].

During the events of ''Twilight Princess'', [[Link]] first enters the Faron Woods after [[Talo]] goes off in pursuit of the [[Monkey]] who had previously stolen [[Uli]]'s [[Baby Cradle|Cradle]]. In this sequence Link will briefly pass through the southern Faron Province. In this area, Link talks to [[Coro]], who gives Link the [[Lantern]]. When continuing on through the cave Link goes through the northern section where he has find a [[Small Key]] to gain further access towards the Forest Temple. Once reaching the entrance of the temple, Link finds Talo and the Monkey in a cage with a Bokoblin guarding the area.

Later on in the first section of the game Link has to restore light to Faron Province, as now the [[Shadow Beast]]s have took the light from the Light Spirit, Faron. Link is tasked with capturing the sixteen [[Tears of Light]] by [[Ordona]]. These Tears of Light will be scattered across the Faron Province and the Faron Woods. Once the light has been restored to the province, Link now in [[Hylian]] form is able to advance onto the Forest Temple. Upon arriving he is seemingly attacked by a [[Golden Wolf]]. This is in fact be the [[Hero's Shade]], who throughout the events of the game teaches Link certain skills. The first [[Hidden Skills|Hidden Skill]] he teaches Link is the [[Hidden Skills#Ending Blow|Ending Blow]] and is the only compulsory skill that Link has to learn.

When Link first enters [[Eldin Province]], he notices that the bridge is missing, connecting the two sides of the [[Kakariko Gorge|Gorge]]. Link at [[Midna]]'s request has to warp back to Faron Woods in order to investigate. However the bridge is conveniently located near the warp point, Link uses Midna's powers to return the bridge to Kakariko Gorge. Later on in the game Link has to find the six missing [[Sky Character]]s scattered across [[Hyrule]]. One of the characters is hidden within the southern section of Faron Woods. After this section of the game there is no need to return to Faron Woods to progress the game.
